Overview

Katie PaulsonThe Master's Degree in Education cohort program offers two areas of emphasis.  You may choose one main focus or work within both areas. This degree will prepare you to work either:

  • As a development and training specialist in business, industry, government, community agencies and community college programs that provide training services to their own or other organizations
  • As an instructional specialist and master teacher/trainer (including English as a second language), work-related and/or content-based instruction for a diverse group of adult learners in business, community and community college settings.

Participants

Program participants are working professionals in business, industry, higher education, non-profit agencies or government settings. Application requirements include a bachelor's degree, written and oral communication skills and professional recommendations and experiences.

Collaborative Cohort Model

Working alongside other professionals offers insight and support to cohort members that simulate a professional work environment.  The program is adult learning-focused and will enhance your skills to work in training, education and organizational development.

Convenient delivery in a weekend format 

Classes for the Master's in Education - Concentration in Organization and Human Resource Education are held at the Wilsonville Training Center in Wilsonville, Ore. on weekends (Friday and Saturday), generally the first or second weekend of each month. Interim assignments are supported by mentoring and coaching of instructional staff and student peers online. This is a two-year cohort program.
