Danielle Womble – Making the best of an opportunity to thrive

Danielle WombleB.S. in Natural Resources
Florence, Ore.

What does earning your OSU degree mean to you?
Graduating means finally accomplishing a life goal. It means setting an example for my daughter and giving our family a chance to grow. It also helps me to be able to start a career in a field I am passionate about.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Ecampus? What did you enjoy about this method of education?
I chose Ecampus because I was a new mother and I did not want to give up on my dream. Ecampus gave me a chance to succeed. I enjoyed the flexibility and variety of courses. It accommodated my hectic life schedule perfectly.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student?
I loved Professor Bob Ehrhart's rangeland courses. His course was challenging but ire warding as well. He was also very supportive when my father passed away. That meant so much to me.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before?
With my degree I can start a career in a field I love. I can also support my family and help make positive changes in the environmental health of my community.
