How do I get started?

  1. Contact CEP coordinator with interest in the program, and register and complete the application for the Career Enhancement Program.
  2. CEP coordinator sends a welcome letter with assessment results.
  3. Apply to Oregon State as an Ecampus student. We recommend applying at least nine weeks before your first term starts. Choose ‘PHPA’ as your Ecampus Program Provider in the Employment section of the application to have your application fee waived.
  4. Send CEP coordinator proof of application.
  5. Your tuition scholarship will be applied to your account after week four of each academic term.

Am I eligible for this program?

All players who are members of the PHPA will be eligible for this program in addition to one dependent or spouse.

When can I start?

Oregon State is on a quarter-based academic calendar, which means classes are delivered online in the fall, winter, spring and summer terms. Most bachelor’s programs start each quarter. Graduate programs and microcredentials have variable start dates. You can learn more about each program’s start date when you browse programs.

Will my credits transfer?

Oregon State accepts credits from other colleges and universities that are institutionally accredited. Upon admission, you’ll receive an official transcript evaluation to determine which of your previous credits transfer. Learn more about transfer credits.

What is the online learning experience like?

When can I apply this scholarship to my coursework?

The scholarship is effective for enrollment in future terms and cannot be applied retroactively.

When will the scholarship be applied to my account?

The scholarship will be applied to your student account after week four of each academic term. 

How do I apply to Oregon State?

Oregon State Ecampus has a dedicated team of enrollment specialists who can help you navigate the application process. Before applying, we recommend speaking with one of our enrollment specialist to learn more about the university, financial aid, the application process and more. What is the process for a spouse/dependent to use this tuition benefit?

A PHPA member’s spouse and/or dependent is eligible to use this tuition benefit. The process for getting started is as follows:

  1. Contact CEP coordinator with interest in the program.
  2. CEP coordinator sends link to OSU Ecampus landing page for interested individuals
  3. Apply to Oregon State as an Ecampus student. We recommend applying at least nine weeks before your first term starts. Choose ‘PHPA’ as your Ecampus Program Provider in the Employment section of the application to have your application fee waived.
  4. Send CEP coordinator proof of application.
  5. Your tuition scholarship will be applied to your account during week four of each academic term.

How can I learn about program cost and other financial aid opportunities?

A college education provides you with greater career opportunities, higher earning potential and personal growth. What is FAFSA?

Employer-sponsored students are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to receive their tuition benefit. You'll get access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college, but you are not required to accept any aid awarded through the FAFSA.

What happens if I enroll in an Ecampus course after my scholarship has been awarded?

If you successfully petition for a late change of registration (after week 4 of the term) and either add an Ecampus course or switch sections of a currently enrolled course to an Ecampus section, please contact ecampus.ess@oregonstate.edu. We will take steps to adjust your scholarship amount accordingly.

What if I stop playing in the AHL or ECHL?

Players will continue to receive these benefits after they stop playing. Dependents and/or family members will also continue to receive these benefits after the PHPA member stops playing.
