OSU Ecampus publishes resources to help K-12 teachers, parents with remote instruction

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University’s nationally ranked online Ecampus program has published a collection of resource guides to assist K-12 teachers, administrators and parents in helping students learn remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The collection of quick reference guides is available to the public online and was developed by the Oregon State Ecampus course development and training team.

The documents provide K-12 professionals and families with guidance on topics including:

  • Online student discussions
  • Group projects
  • Online lectures
  • Accessibility of course materials
  • Video and other educational technologies

“When educators need to implement such significant changes quickly, having access to carefully curated, proven resources can help,” said Shannon Riggs, the OSU Ecampus executive director of academic programs and learning innovation. “A big part of Oregon State’s efforts to offer degrees online is faculty training in online course design and teaching.”

In partnership with OSU faculty, Ecampus instructional designers and multimedia developers are nationally recognized leaders in the creation of student-centered distance learning experiences.

“We are happy to share tips and best practices, and we wish the best for everyone working to ensure continued access to a high-quality education for students everywhere,” Riggs said.
