Oregon State University’s Director of Popular Music and Performing Arts, Bob Santelli, won a Grammy Award on Sunday night. Luckily for Oregon State students, his portfolio will soon include an online course for OSU Ecampus, too.

Faculty excellence helps OSU earn another top-5 national ranking for online education

For the third time in six years, Oregon State University is ranked as one of America’s five best providers of online education by U.S. News & World Report. In the rankings released today, Oregon State Ecampus is No. 5 out of more than 350 institutions in the category of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs. OSU was ranked third last year and has placed in the national top 10 every year since 2015.

Oregon State online bachelor’s programs ranked 3rd in the nation by U.S. News

Oregon State University’s place among the nation’s best providers of online education has inched closer to the pinnacle amid the release of new rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The 2019 report features Oregon State Ecampus at No. 3 among nearly 400 institutions in the category of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs. It’s the fifth consecutive year OSU has made the nation’s top 10 and is the university’s highest placement yet.

Oregon State’s online bachelor’s programs earn 4th straight top 10 ranking from U.S. News

Driven by the expertise of its faculty and an award-winning faculty development program, Oregon State University has been named one of the nation’s 10 best providers of online education for the fourth straight year by U.S. News & World Report. In a report released today, Oregon State Ecampus is ranked No. 6 out of more than 350 higher education institutions in the category of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.

Big questions need big answers. That’s our strong suit.

It was a fundamental question in search of a much-needed answer: How can distance students in introductory biology courses online learn to operate a microscope without being in a physical laboratory? The simple answer was that they couldn’t. So Oregon State fixed that problem by developing a first-of-its-kind, 3D virtual microscope that increases student access to learning and eliminates a barrier to degree completion.
