RNG 470 – Pastoral Systems of the World (4)

Describes and evaluates ecosystems which support grazing animals and pastoralists. Examines the biology, ecology and management of these landscapes including climate, soils, plant communities and human-livestock interactions. Investigates the historic role of trade and contemporary challenges to the ecological, social and economic sustainability of pastoral systems. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
