2006 Ecampus Graduates
Tammi Hitt - A long sought-after goal
B.S. in Environmental Sciences
Home: Gillette, Wyoming
Family: Husband, Bruce; children, Jami, 23 and Jenni, 21
Current work/career: Regulatory Analyst
How long have you been working toward this degree?
25 years
What did you like most about online education? The flexibility. With only a single 4-year institution in Wyoming and the nearest university more than 2 hours from my home, distance education was the only option for me to complete my degree. Oregon State offered a great program with well-designed courses and accredited instruction.
How do you feel your degree will benefit you in your career, life, etc.? As a non-traditional student who started college in 1981, achieving my bachelor's degree will give me a sense of fulfillment and completion. The courses required have given me a broad understanding of both the science behind and issues related to environmental resources and have furthered my career, allowing me to move to positions of higher influence, responsibility, and pay.
