What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career?
It opens another very important door to the life I want to have. My world gets bigger! In addition, I have a strong sense of accomplishment. I've earned this degree and it stays with me the rest of my life.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?
The Ed.M. Adult Education is a hybrid program – it has both online and on-site components. I love it. We had two days a month of on-site instruction, and the rest was online - perfect. I’ve had a cohort that I’ve built relationships with over all three years. It enabled me to keep working and yet have a quality and stimulating school experience. I have grown greatly from this program and I think the hybrid style encourages that.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student?
Jennifer Webster is the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is an integral reason for the high quality of this program. Her support of students and instructional designs are inspiring. I constantly refer back to experiences with her as my model. She made distance learning fun, understandable and valuable in ways I couldn't have imagined.
