What do you see as the advantages of taking classes online?

The major advantage is that a student need not be on campus to accomplish a degreee program. The classes are still top-notch, in my opinion.

Why do you feel it is important to support online learning by being the program leader for the Sustainable Natural Resources Graduate Certificate?

Prospective students who contact me always indicate that they recognize the need for more education to advance, either to a new location or vertically within their organization. Ecampus gives them this opportunity.

What has been the biggest surprise to you about online learning?

My biggest surprise has been the quality of the courses and the willingness of instructors to put in the time to teach high-quality classes.

What's one thing about yourself you'd like distance students to know?

I've worked in the natural resources field for well over 30 years and see this online certificate as a great opportuntity for students to stay up to date in the field, as well as get a degree.
