What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career?
This degree is a testament of accomplishment and success in academia, not only for me, but for those who look like me and strive to achieve for the benefit of others. As an African-American woman in college administration, this degree will open institutional doors that will allow me to perform on a greater level: to a larger audience of students of color.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?
I chose the program because it fit my career and educational goals. Ecampus was a fabulous connection to resources which allowed for greater communication while I lived out-of-state and commuted.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student?
George Copa was the greatest influence on my education as a distance student. Not only was he meticulous and articulate, he genuinely cared. He got so involved with my dissertation that he visited the location, took pictures and validated my experiences. This was more than I ever expected and it influenced me so much that I have adapted this into my own teaching and leadership style.
