What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career?Graduating with my degree is something I've been working on since 1996 and I'm finally done! I love knowing that I had a goal and with hard work and dedication I was able to complete that challenge. Obtaining my degree through Ecampus has really taught me about the importance of time management which I believe will be a huge asset when I'm marketing myself to employers.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?  I had always wanted to go to Oregon State but living in California made that impossible until I found out about Ecampus. It was the most amazing day when I got my acceptance package in the mail and was able to officially take courses at OSU. I really liked the flexibility of the online schedule and the variety of classes I was able to take in order to complete my degree. It was challenging and taught me a lot about self discipline.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student? I would say that Dr. Sanborn was my most influential professor. He really invited the students to converse as if we were in a classroom setting although we were all from various places. He made the discussion boards a priority and I took a lot away from the numerous classes I took with him.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before? By having my degree from OSU it's provided me the ability to apply for jobs I wasn't able to before because I didn't have degree. It's really opened several doors in the job market, which at the end of the day is a blessing.
