Oregon State Ecampus graduation 2012

Another year, another record-breaking group of graduates

Sure, Michelle Obama came to town. But not even the first lady's rousing speech could top the awe-inspiring achievements of the Oregon State Ecampus students during the June 17 commencement ceremonies in Corvallis.

A total of 402 online students earned their OSU diploma in 2012, the most in the university's history and the seventh straight year Ecampus students have surpassed the total of the previous graduating class.

Ecampus held a reception for its graduates prior to the main ceremony, and 80 students from all over the United States made the journey to OSU to celebrate – many of them making their first campus visit. It was an exciting opportunity for many of the students to meet their classmates, instructors and advisors for the first time.
