Education Graduate Programs – Online and In-person
Oregon State University's College of Education offers advanced degree programs in counseling, elementary and ESOL/dual language specialization, adult education and higher education leadership that are delivered in a hybrid (online and in-person) format at locations in the Portland metro area.
Whether you aspire to become a licensed elementary teacher in a dual language classroom, specialize in training adult learners in workplace settings, become a counselor or a community college leader, you can achieve your dreams without leaving your day job or the place you call home.
Teacher education
Teachers are in demand nationally, particularly in key areas such as bilingual and STEM education. Here are some programs delivered by OSU Ecampus that will prepare you to enter the workforce and meet this growing demand:
- Master of Science in Education (M.S.) (This program is not fully online. It includes in-person classes held periodically in Corvallis, Oregon.)
- ESOL/dual language graduate certificates (fully online)
Counselor education
All Oregon State counseling programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), providing you a competitive career advantage and a greater chance for acceptance into a doctoral counseling program.
- Master of Counseling: Clinical Mental Health Counseling (This program is not fully online. It includes classes held twice a term in Corvallis, Oregon.)
- Master of Counseling: School Counseling (This program is not fully online. It includes classes held twice a term in Corvallis, Oregon.)
- Ph.D. in Counseling (This program is not fully online. It includes classes held twice a term at Oregon State’s downtown Portland classroom building.)
Adult and higher education

- Ed.M. in Adult and Higher Education (fully online)
There is a growing need for educational professionals who can serve in leadership roles at four-year universities and community colleges. Establish yourself as an effective leader at post-secondary institutions by combining management skills, vision and a commitment to the mission of higher education.
