Welcome Back to OSU – Next Steps

Resources for readmitting to the university

Identify your motivation

Earning your degree online from Oregon State is a flexible and accessible way to make your dream of graduating a reality. Whether your motivation is rooted in personal accomplishments or career aspirations, we’re here to support you through the finish line. Before you start back to school, take some time to reflect on the following:

  • What’s the main reason you want to go back to school? (Pro tip: Write this down, and keep it somewhere visible!)
  • How do you plan to maintain work-school-life balance while pursuing your degree online?
  • Do you have questions that are preventing you from coming back? Ecampus Student Services or a Success Coach might have the answer you need – you’ll never know until you ask.

Take action

We’ve put together these actionable steps to support you in the re-enrollment process. Complete the checklist, and you’ll be on your way before you know it.

  1. Make sure you’ve found the right degree for you. Ecampus offers a wide variety of undergraduate degrees, including many recent additions. Explore all of your options to confirm your choice.
  2. Apply for readmission five weeks before your start term. We recommend this five-week window so that you have time to complete required orientations and meet with your advisor.
  3. Submit official transcripts from all other colleges or universities you’ve attended since you left OSU.
  4. If needed, change your major or campus. When you’re readmitted, your student status will be based on your campus and major when you were last enrolled. If you need to switch from Corvallis campus to Ecampus or change your major, contact Ecampus Student Services.
  5. Complete the “Getting Started” guide for readmitted students. You’ll learn how to set up your ONID, order an OSU ID card and more.
