OSU Ecampus to enhance online chemistry lab courses with adaptive learning

Oregon State University Ecampus announced an innovative collaboration with Smart Sparrow that will allow chemistry faculty to design their own wet lab simulations to enhance the student learning experience in place of in-person lab experiments. The project stems from a campus-wide initiative to scale the application of adaptive courseware to improve outcomes for Oregon State undergraduate students who learn online.

Oregon State is the best university in the nation when it comes to delivering a high-quality liberal arts education online, according to a new ranking released last month. Oregon State’s College of Liberal Arts offers 11 bachelor’s degrees and two master’s programs online through OSU Ecampus, the university’s distance education division.

Online data analytics students prepare for top job in the country

Josh Stevens, an army veteran and a mid-career IT analyst at State Farm in Bloomington, Illinois, had been searching for the right online data analytics program for well over a year. The perfect match continued to be elusive. When he came across Oregon State University’s new Master of Science Data Analytics program, it was immediately attractive to him. Close to finishing his first year in the program, Stevens couldn’t be happier with his decision.
