It’s time to take control of your future. Just like Eric Broadfoot did.

“I decided to go back to school to earn my degree because my wife, Courtney, and I got married and we were having a child, and I wanted to move up in the company I was working for,” says economics alum Eric Broadfoot. “Given all of those aspects, I knew it was very important to finish my education.”

The Diaz family: parents and OSU Ecampus students Albert and Samantha with their three children.

On the right track

When Albert Diaz gets home and his kids are asleep, he’ll study alongside the only Oregon State student he has met face-to-face: his wife, Samantha, a psychology major. She was the first in the family to enroll with OSU Ecampus. They have never set foot on the Oregon State campus. They both decided to apply to OSU — and become a full-fledged Beaver Nation family — thanks to a Google search. The Diaz family is a fitting example of the benefits of the university’s wildly successful distance education efforts.

Getting to know Mary Ellen Dello Stritto

It took one high school psychology class to kick-start Mary Ellen Dello Stritto’s lifelong interest in how humans behave. Her educational history and subsequent career in higher education are inextricably linked to studying and educating others on that behavior. And now as the assistant director for Oregon State Ecampus Research Unit, Mary Ellen combines that extensive knowledge with ample experience as a researcher to contribute to the field of online teaching and learning.

After the Army, Ecampus student focused on doing what he loves

There was a pit in Bryan Zacher’s stomach as his 22-year Army career came to a close in 2013. He hadn’t put much thought into life after the military, so he jotted down a list of his hobbies: Fishing. Hunting. The great outdoors. Then he had an idea that changed his life trajectory: Turn what you enjoy doing into what you do for a living. That’s how he came to enroll online with Oregon State Ecampus.
