People
Success coaches
Success coaching is an academic counseling service for undergraduate Ecampus students. Success coaches work in partnership with students to improve academic skills, to identify support resources, and to address obstacles to academic success at OSU. Success coaching is individualized, strengths-based and holistic.
Tutors
Pear Deck Tutor (formerly TutorMe) is a service available to all Ecampus students. Online tutoring offers for up to 5 free tutoring hours per week which can be used to focus in one subject area or split across more than one subject. To access a live tutor through Pear Deck Tutor, follow these steps:
- Enable pop-ups in your web browser.
- Log in to Canvas.
- Select your course.
- Click on Online Tutoring in the side navigation bar.
Writing Center specialists
The mission of the Writing Center is to support all students through the writing process, from beginning to end. Students can upload their writing sample through the Online Writing Support (OWS) and receive personalized, written feedback via email (asynchronous) from a specialist or via a Zoom appointment (synchronous).
Virtual math and statistics tutors
The Mathematics & Statistics Learning Center (MSLC) offers tutoring services with Graduate Teaching Assistants. The Virtual MSLC runs through MS Teams and Zoom.
Disability Access advisors
The mission of Disability Access Services (DAS) facilitates access to university programs and services for students, faculty, staff and visitors with disabilities through accommodations, education, consultation and advocacy. You can meet with a DAS Advisor by drop-in Zoom room.
Online counselors
Anytime Anywhere is an online, free and confidential 1:1 mental health and wellness counseling service available at any time of day, from anywhere in the world, 365 days a year for all OSU students.
Other students
Togetherall is an anonymous community from around the world that provides support and allows students to share how they are feeling. It is managed by trained professionals and available 24/7.
