Student Assistance

OSU online students have a variety of help available to them. Many of these options are available on our Ecampus website, and can be taken advantage of 24/7.

The following options are available via our online communication center “Ask Ecampus”:

  • Knowledge Base: Our KB includes answers to over 1,000 questions and is regularly updated and refined to have the very latest information. You can type in a question, or you can browse the KB categories. Currently, the main focus of the KB is to handle questions from students, but we are gradually adding questions/answers of particular interest to faculty and will be increasing capabilities in this area.

The Student Services Center is available 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time to provide:

  • Answers to student questions
  • Help with registration
  • Student billing problems
  • Assistance with grade changes, late changes of registrations, and other petition processes
  • Assistance with testing and proctoring arrangements
  • Connections to appropriate offices on campus for more in depth help
  • Referral to advisors
  • Provides minor technical help or connection to Computer Consulting
  • Assistance with activation of ONID accounts

For more technical help, online students can use the Information Services website, which provides them with technical orientation, including ONID. It also provides them with phone help information to answer their technical questions. This page provides information and resources about the following items
