There are more Spanish speakers in the U.S. than almost any other country in the world. Yes, you read that correctly. The U.S. Spanish-speaking population is second only to Mexico in number. Even if you don’t plan to travel abroad, that huge number means that speaking Spanish opens more opportunities to land a more competitive job, earn a higher salary, meet more people and have a richer life full of more meaningful encounters will be greatly increased.


In this 27-credit online minor, you will learn essential skills for language mastery like pronunciation, history, literature, listening and comprehension. Beyond language-related skills, you’ll sharpen your critical thinking, cultural sensitivity and adaptability through coursework that uses cutting edge technology. OSU’s online Spanish classes use tools and projects that ensure you’re engaged and using your Spanish skills often and well.
