Queer Studies – Online Minor

OSU Ecampus along with the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program invite you to discover the flexibility and ease of completing a minor in queer studies online as part of your undergraduate degree program.   Women, gender, and sexuality studies place women's concerns, gender analysis, and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer experience at the center of academic study.

What is queer studies?

Queer studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines how gender, sexuality and ideas of "normal" work together. The undergraduate minor in queer studies prepares students to examine how gender, and sexuality are constructed and policed. It provides the exploration of gender as a focal point of analysis in determining differentials of power and opportunity, and recognizes the interaction of gender with a complex matrix of such fundamental categories as race, ethnicity, religion, class, sexual identity, age, physical appearance and mental or physical ability.
